Boat on the roof, nets in the back and one last run out on the lake before it goes quiet for the winter. The plan was simple. The weather had other ideas. It usually does.

Out on the water
A long, dark hull, a small outboard and a lake that disappears into the cloud. Nobody says much on the way out. Just rain on the water, cold hands and the kind of quiet you only find on a Norwegian lake in autumn.

Good company
The nets were only ever an excuse. What we really came for was a few hours on the water together: good company, a few laughs and rain that nobody seemed to mind.
