This coat features a wind- and water-resistant construction. It will handle light rain and is fully snowproof — built for winter conditions. The fabric itself is waterproof, but because the shoulder seams are not taped, we classify the coat as water-resistant rather than fully waterproof. In everyday use, it will comfortably withstand snow and light to moderate rain.

This coat is insulated with 90% down and 10% feathers, creating the ideal balance of loft, warmth, and that signature puffy feel. It uses high-quality 750+ fill power down, which provides exceptional insulation with minimal weight — offering more warmth from less material. The insulation is RDS-certified (Responsible Down Standard), ensuring that all down and feathers come from farms that follow strict animal-welfare principles and are fully traceable throughout the supply chain.

Meridian’s below-the-knee length is one of its greatest advantages in truly cold weather. By extending well past the hips and thighs, it traps significantly more warm air around the lower body — an area where shorter coats lose heat quickly. This longer cut creates a natural thermal barrier that shields you from wind, drafts, and swirling snow, keeping your core temperature stable even on the coldest days. Despite the added coverage, the side splits and two-way zipper maintain full mobility, making Meridian both exceptionally warm and comfortable to move in.

A fixed hood offers reliable, always-ready protection — it stays in place, seals out wind and snow, and provides consistent warmth without shifting or needing adjustment.

A Scandinavian Edition invention since 2010, our Drop Down Reflectives are designed to improve visibility in the dark. Located on both sides of the jacket, the reflective panels are discreetly secured inside the jacket and can be released to hang below the hem, making you more visible to passing traffic when you need it most.
