SEAM SEALED

TAPED & SEALED SEAMSJackets can be treated with a waterproof coating and have a waterproof membrane, but still not be fully waterproof. This is why we add taped seams. We use heat in the production process to seal the seams, which will stop water from seeping through the stitches. This is especially functional if you wear your jacket in heavy, prolonged rain.

WINDPROOF

WINDPROOF & BREATHABLEOur jackets offer protection from wind in the most severe conditions, while still being permeable from the inside to allow for breathability. The fabrics we use are either windproof themselves or equipped with a membrane and taped seams. WHY IS BREATHABILITY IMPORTANT?The ability of a jacket to allow perspiration to escape is as important as not letting water in, especially if you will be doing anything energetic. If a waterproof jacket is not breathable, sweat will be unable to escape, making the user feel damp. It is common for people to feel as though their waterproof has ‘leaked’ when in fact it is perspiration from the inside they are feeling.
